This program offers students the opportunity to learn Polish abroad in the beautiful city of Krakow as a part of Pitt’s renowned Summer Language Institute. Students study intensive Polish at the Prolog Language School, an institute that boasts cutting edge instructional materials and dedicated, experienced instructors of Polish as a foreign language. After classes, students engage in an extensive excursion program with many different options to destinations and events in Krakow with a local guide from Prolog. This program is open to students of Polish at the intermediate, advanced, and 4th-year levels. Beginning students of Polish are not eligible for this program but are instead directed to SLI’s 10-week Pitt-Krakow program or 6-week Pitt-only program to ensure an elementary level of Polish is achieved before arrival in Krakow. All applicants to SLI’s Polish programs are eligible to apply for an SLI Scholarship.
